elise_rashaI do love reviewing books, and I can honestly say I haven't stopped reading. I currently have the urge to go out and buy the Harry Potter series and to get the rest of the Percy Jackson and the Olympians series with getting the Heroes of Olympus. A discussion with my best friend has reminded me how much Dan Brown's The Da Vinci Code resonated within me so I want my grubby paws on that.
All are books I have read and just want to read again. Maybe I'll even revisit The Lord of the Rings and Memory, Sorrow, and Thorn. I could even probably go through Mangus Chase and the Gods of Asgard: The Sword of Summer again to pick up more nuances.
Of course, purchasing books I've already read isn't the only thing on my book buying agenda. Rick Riordan has a new series coming out called The Trials of Apollo, which is another extension of his Percy Jackson series. I also do look forward to the next installation of the next Magnus Chase and the Gods of Asgard series.
But buying books, at the moment does need to wait. Not because I don't have the money for such things but because of a few things going on in my personal life that need attending first. Plus, I have books I've purchased over the last few years that I haven't read yet.
With that said, I'm currently reading three different books. I'm taking my time with them as each is fascinating and deserves the time to savor.
So what am I currently reading?
Northern Mysteries and Magick: Runes and Feminine Powers by Freya Aswynn
The Ramayana by Ramesh Menon
The Age of Odin by James Lovegrove
There will be no review of the first book on the list. Mainly due to the fact it isn't going to be everyone's cup of tea, and it is non-fiction, something I'm reading to gain a better understanding of the Norse. There might be a review of the second book. The Ramayana is written in an old-time, epic style that I just absolutely adore. The Age of Odin is getting a definite review so stay tuned for that! I'm barely into the story, and it's already rocking my socks.
